So I have often grumbled about the lack of of time in a day, or days in a week, maybe you've heard me before...
I'm not the first one to express this frustration, I'm joined by The Beatles, Shakespeare, Da Vinci, to name a few.
I decided that the best solution would be to develop a dream state like on "Inception" where I could take 1 hour of the day and turn it into a whole day, another option would be according to Einsteins theory of Special Relativity, which states in part that if you travel at or near the speed of light, time actually slows down. (give or take) but seeing that technology can't keep up with scientists or film makers, I'm forced to actually deal with reality.
So I must turn to examining how I'm using my time. It is at times repulsive...I realize how much I do that is not necessary, like watching T.V., surfing the web, angry birds! I mean really? it's fine to do a little of that, but for extended periods of time it's a waste! I really need to get control of it. My mission president used to say (keep in mind he is a multi-millionaire) that Self-Control is the most important attribute we can develop if we want to attain success...another quote that I love is by aldous Huxley:
Successful People have learned to do the thing that needs to be done, when it needs to be done, whether they like it or not.Wise men, Wise words...The fact is, time isn't about to "evolve" it's one of the only constants that we can count on, or as Shakespeare put it:
Come what come may, Time and the hour runs through the roughest day.
So I obviously need to evaluate my days, so you might be wondering, "why is he sharing this with us?" Because you my followers, few though you may be, are whom I am holding myself responsible to. My next post will be about what I'm doing differently, what am I doing to more efficiently, or what have I cut back on? I need an audience, someone to report my findings to. So that I have motivation when time gets tough...
There's not stopping it, So I need to learn to take it by the reigns.
See you next week!
This is a way cool post! I too need to make better use of my time! :)
